Pinoy Music Festival is a one-day open-air free of charge celebration that aims to promote, cultivate, discover and embrace Original Pinoy Music and works of Filipino music artists (performers and composers).


Pinoy Music Council (PMC) is a newly formed umbrella organization of singers, composers, authors, producers, instrumentalists, publishers and many other stakeholders in the music industry. It is composed of the following member-organizations: The Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), Asosasyon ng Musikong Pilipino (AMP), Philippine Association of Recording Industry (PARI), Music Copyright Administrators of the Philippines (MCAP) and PhilPop Foundation

In a collaborative effort to sustain the momentumcreated by the recently concluded Pinoy Music Summit, which the group spearheaded, PMC initiated the drafting of an executive order to declare September 5 as “Araw ng Musikang Pilipino.”To help disseminate and launch this campaign, PMCis producing a music festival that will drum up public awareness and media support for the Executive Order.


  1. Promote OPM by introducing its significance in our daily activities
  2. Educate and encourage the public to appreciate, support, patronize and love our own music
  3. Encourage and inspire new OPM compositions
