OPM SONG LYRICS REQUEST
We have been receiving numerous requests for lyrics of OPM songs. Much as we want to accommodate such requests, we do not have documentation of song lyrics in our files. There are certain websites addressing such concerns and we regret that we cannot be of help on this matter. [Click here to view links to Filipino Lyrics sites.]

Welcome to the Official Website of the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit!
Mitch Valdes
OPM President

Since its birth 17 years ago, the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit has experienced situations similar to that of a toddler determined to walk. The first awkward steps, gaining momentum, running with glee and then splat(!), falling flat on its face. Resisting the desire to bawl (more from hurt pride than anything else), the child gets up again and resumes walking, this time applying lessons learned from experience.

The child is now an adult, very much aware of its environment and no longer content to coast along with the "bite of the bullet" situations of the past. The OPM took steps towards the goal it has given itself at the onset: the Filipino to recognize talent, an asset to be nurtured and brought to bloom. It has continually protected the voice that can move and inspire, present messages of hope and change, using love and humor. Thus, it has an ever increasing membership, and a wealth of friends and supporters who remained steadfast and gave encouragement to the struggling child.

To everyone who participated in its growth (big or small, past, present, or future) may the seed that you have planted reap a bountiful harvest of fruits to bear countless other seeds. Cheers!
